The Festival started very well, as nominated, we had the oportunity to
showcase HassleHeart and have a panel to talk about the game and
our studio.

@gravstar during the panel. First HassleHeart sketches were unveiled
;)[/caption]
We had a great time talking with other studios, media and people who
came to the hóPLAY Festival to try and play games (HassleHeart
included!).

People playin (and enjoying!!) HassleHeart[/caption]
As hóPLAY finalist developer, Santa Clara Games had the chance to
explain HassleHeart in the Big Indie
Pitch
to Steel Media journalists. What an intense and very funny experience!
[caption id="attachment_1269" align="aligncenter" width="700"]
We came to play so, get ready to pitch![/caption]
We were so happy and so surprised words couldn't get out of our
mouths! It's been a wonderful moment! It gives us so much energy and
fuel to keep making games that we are looking forward to December
23^rd^ to launch HassleHeart's Final Version and start working in
our next games! Yes, games in plural ;) Stay tunned for more news to
come!

We were happy to get to gamelab, we didn't know there was a 2 hours
waiting line to enter :([/caption]
On June 25 we assisted to Barcelona to
Gamelab. We had three intense days of
conferences, networking and conversations with friends and other indie
developers from Spain. And, as you will see by the pictures, we
had chance to talk about HassleHeart with everybody ;)

First day, first encounter, Mr. Shuhei Yoshida. Great start![/caption]
We met Mr. Shuhei Yoshida(@yosp)
(President of Sony's Worldwide
Studios) and chat about indie developers like us and the
possibility to bring HassleHeart to PSVita (fingers crossed!).
Mr. Keiji Inafune got his own copy of the game too and he seemed to
like the idea of a robot tearing apart humans hearts (maybe we gave him
ideas for Mighty N.9, who knows...).
Tim Schafer's panel Dreams, machines and
inspiration from Gamelab
Conference on Vimeo.
We have to apologize withTim Schafer@TimOfLegend whom
we boarded after his panel (if you read this, sorry Tim, we hope you
will like the game) in order to give him a copy of the game.
We also met the adorable and
kindKim
Swift (@K2theSwift) from
Amazon Games Studio and had the opportunity to chat with
Richard
Lemarchand (@rich_lem) who
as very nice with us.
[caption id="attachment_1158" align="aligncenter" width="640"]
We met Keiji Inafune just before his panel and gave him a HassleHeart
copy[/caption]
They all got their own HassleHeart copy with a bonus track, a copy
of Return to Castle Urgullas well!
We specially enjoyed Neil McFarland's
@parishair panel from UsTwo Games
about Monument Valley's development. Their vision about
development is similar than ours, and we liked the way they focus on
bringing a good experience to the gamers and be honest with them.

Rami was super kind and shared with us some tricks about indie
development[/caption]
On the second day we had the pleasure of lunch with Rami
Ismail (@tha_rami) from
Vlambeershare ideas and concerns about indie development. He is an
awesome and great guy.
We feel so sorry we couldn't stay to Rami's inspiring panel, but we ran
late to take the airplane back home :,(. Next time, we will try to have
more light schedule.

MakPolloh got his HassleHeart copy too ;)[/caption]
We gone for dinner with our friend Solans
(@Hek444) and The Great MakPolloh@MakPolloh from
ChecarEsMien.org
, who made this funny HassleHear
gameplay promised
to write a post about Gamelab, Santa Clara Games story and background,
indie development and more... we are still waiting man!
[caption id="attachment_1164" align="aligncenter" width="640"]
Sharing some beers with MakPollo and Solans at Marsella (where Woody
Allen's Vicky, Cristina, Barcelona film was shot)[/caption]
Truth is it's been and incredible experience. People in this industry
was very close, friendly and excited about sharing knowledge and
experiences. We have learn a lot, powered up our batteries and we are
looking forward to make amazing games and show them to everybody next
year at Gamelab 2015 !
[caption id="attachment_1166" align="aligncenter" width="640"]
We dream of this because we think PSVita is perfect for
HassleHeart[/caption]
It's summer, time to relax, to go to the beach, sunbathes... Nope! Here
at Santa Clara Games we are on fire improving and developing
HassleHeart's Beta2!
